ANC6E held a special emergency meeting on Oct. 9th to talk about the recent gun violence in the Shaw neighborhood. Multiple DC government officials were in attendance, including Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen, MPD Third District Commander Stuart Emerman, ANC6E Commissioners, representatives from Mayor Bowser’s office and many other organizations.
The opening ceremony of the first of four mini-pitches being opened across DC rec centers. Target and the U.S. Soccer Federation are building 100 of these nationwide to create greater access to recreational opportunities and safe places to play.
This ANC serves Chinatown, Downtown, and Penn Quarter neighborhoods of Washington, D.C.
In 2016, Mayor Bowser launched the Private Security Camera Incentive Program, which provides rebates for the purchase, installation and registration of security camera system on the exterior of a home or building owned or leased by a DC resident, business, nonprofit or religious institution.
Residents in the 4th District were invited to come and mingle with their officers, including the newly appointed Commander Randy Griffin.
